Mills Rack Pricing Data now available via My Tank Tiger platform
More than 1,300 Mills rack price assessments across 133 U.S. terminal cities can now be viewed on the same map fuel marketers and traders use to find storage.
NEW YORK, Oct. 7, 2026 -- Mills Price, LLC and The Tank Tiger today made Mills Assessed Rack Clearing (MARC) Prices viewable on the My Tank Tiger platform, with 20 assessments at four hub cities open to every user.
A marketer or trader deciding whether to lease a tank, hold barrels, or sell them across the rack needs two numbers: what the storage costs and what the product clears for at the rack nearby. Those numbers have come from separate vendors on separate screens. Mills now assesses 1,337 rack prices across 133 terminal cities twice each business day, and until today none of them sat beside a storage market.
A MARC Price is an editorial price assessment of a transactable, market-clearing price for a given specification of wholesale fuel, at a geographic location, at a specific time. Mills publishes each one for unbranded fuel on gross volume and gross terms, in cents per gallon, under the methodology at millsprice.com/methodology.
Today, a storage buyer who wants the rack price near a terminal opens a second product. On My Tank Tiger (mytanktiger.com), MARC Prices are overlaid on Tank Tiger's geospatial map, so a user can weigh a storage offer against the local rack price in one view. Up to 90 days of price history shows whether that rack has been strengthening or weakening.
Every platform user, with or without a Mills subscription, can view 20 MARC assessments: diesel and four gasoline grades at each of Newark, N.J.; Houston; Tulsa, Okla.; and Chicago (Hammond, Ind.), the rack cities beside the major spot market delivery points. Subscribers to both Mills Rack Pricing Data and the Tank Tiger platform can view their Mills prices there at no additional cost, and any other user can buy more cities from their Tank Tiger representative.
Mills supplies the price assessments and gains a channel to the approximately 1,500 users across 600 companies on Tank Tiger's storage marketplace. Tank Tiger supplies the platform, the map, and the client relationships, and adds rack price coverage to the storage, terminal, and pipeline data its clients already use.
“A rack price tells you what fuel cleared for, not how much was there to buy. Tank Tiger sees the storage side of that question every day and Mills sees the price side. Together they start to light up the parts of this market that are still dark: volume, allocation, and local supply and demand.”
Vadym Barda, chief product and technology officer at Mills Price
“Our clients ask us what storage is worth. The next question is always what the product in that tank is worth at the rack down the road. Mills answers that city by city, twice a day, and that is coverage we did not have.”
Steven Barsamian, chief operating officer of The Tank Tiger
The companies see the display agreement as a first step: they are exploring how Tank Tiger's storage bids, offers, trades, and volumes could inform Mills price assessments, and how Mills prices and reference data could widen the pricing coverage Tank Tiger gives its clients. The aim is local supply and demand indicators at the spot and rack level for trading desks, funds, and pricing teams. A rack price falling beside full tanks says something different from the same price beside empty ones.
MARC Prices publish on My Tank Tiger twice each business day, after the 10:00 am ET and 4:59 pm ET Mills editions, and users can view up to 90 days of price history within the platform.
The 20 Mills Rack Price Score Card assessments listed below are free to view for every My Tank Tiger platform user. - What is each company announcing?
- Mills Price and The Tank Tiger are announcing that Mills Assessed Rack Clearing (MARC) Prices can now be viewed inside the My Tank Tiger platform at mytanktiger.com. Mills is the market data provider: it produces and owns the price assessments. Tank Tiger is the distribution platform: it displays the prices to its users and sells access to cities beyond the open set. Twenty assessments at four hub cities are open to every platform user.
- What is a MARC Price?
- A MARC Price is an editorial price assessment of a transactable, market-clearing price for a given specification of wholesale fuel, at a geographic location, at a specific time. It is not a statistical low or average of posted rack prices. Each MARC Price has a unique Mills price code, a publication time stamp, and a value in U.S. cents per gallon. Please refer to the Mills Methodology and Specifications Guide at millsprice.com/methodology for additional details.
- Who is it for?
- It is for the people who already use My Tank Tiger to find or offer storage: fuel marketers, suppliers, traders, terminal operators, and analysts. The first user in mind is the wholesale rack marketer or trader who weighs a storage decision against the price of product at the nearby rack. Pricing teams that want a second view of a rack city they do not yet follow can use the 20 open assessments as a daily check.
- What problem does it solve?
- A decision to lease a tank, hold barrels, or sell them across the rack depends on two numbers: what the storage costs and what the product clears for nearby. Those numbers have come from separate vendors on separate screens. My Tank Tiger now shows the rack price on the same map as the terminals and the storage.
- How are MARC Prices built?
- Mills price reporters assess each price under the Mills Methodology and Specifications Guide, published at millsprice.com/methodology. The assessment is for unbranded fuel on gross volume and gross terms. Tank Tiger displays each price as Mills publishes it, with the Mills price code, the time stamp, and the unit, and does not alter it or blend it with other prices.
- What does it cost?
- The 20 Mills Rack Price Score Card assessments are free to view for every My Tank Tiger platform user. A user whose company holds a current Mills license for the same cities can ask to have those cities enabled in the platform at no additional cost. Any other user buys a coverage tier as an addition to an active Tank Tiger subscription, billed by Tank Tiger on the same monthly or annual cycle, with no separate license from Mills. For pricing, contact The Tank Tiger team at sebarsamian@thetanktiger.com.
- Can I reference a MARC Price in a contract?
- Yes. Platform users may view the prices for their internal business purposes, and that includes referencing a MARC Price in their own fuel supply arrangements. Cite the Mills price code, the edition time stamp, and the unit, which the platform shows with every price.
- Can I download, export, or redistribute the prices?
- No. Prices in My Tank Tiger are view-only: there is no export, download, or feed from the platform, and users may not redistribute the prices, record them systematically, build indices or datasets from them, or use them to train models. A user who needs a data feed, a download, or a historical file is referred to Mills for Rack Pricing Data, which is delivered by API, FTP, or download. The platform shows a link to Mills beside the prices for that purpose.
- How do I get started?
- Log in at mytanktiger.com and open the map: the 20 open assessments appear for every user, marked "powered by Mills Price." To add cities, contact The Tank Tiger team at sebarsamian@thetanktiger.com. If you already subscribe to Mills and want to get your data via The Tank Tiger platform, contact Mills: support@millsprice.com.
