Every price in the Mills complex stands on reference data: the terminal it clears at, the spec it describes, the formula that builds it, the tariffs and fees inside that formula, and the RVP calendar that governs the season. Reference Data delivers that entire foundation as a structured feed and bulk file download.

The set spans the physical layer (terminals, pipelines, interconnects, railways, marine highways, refineries, ethanol plants, and storage tanks), the regulatory layer (RFG, CARB, CBG, and TxLED zones plus the RVP and seasonal spec calendar), and the commercial layer (companies, contacts, spot-to-rack formulas, logistics costs across every mode, fuel taxes, product specifications, and the Code Cross Reference Service).

Everything is indexed with a unique Mills code and a simple, documented schema, in an AI ready format. Even non technical users can run complex data queries with natural language requests, whether they need to check a terminal location, validate a price, or draft a new contract formula.

Wholesalers, jobbers, and retailers running their own pricing engine need terminals, price codes, specs, tariffs, and RVP ceilings delivered as structured market data feeds into their trading, marketing, and back office pricing systems, in order to price, settle, and report without a person in the middle. However, without a live data pipeline that data goes stale quickly. Internal teams without data engineering expertise struggle to build a unified schema, which makes the data hard for non technical users to reach, so users end up downloading spreadsheets and working by hand off stale data.

Mills Reference Data is a comprehensive, continuously maintained wholesale fuel physical and regulatory reference data set. Every terminal, company, price code, spec, tariff, RVP calendar, and more is indexed with a unique Mills code and a simple data schema. Its AI ready format lets even non technical users run complex data queries with simple natural language requests, whether they need to check the location of a terminal, validate a price, or create a new contract formula.

Keep supply contract adders up to date

Suppliers and wholesalers need to build a spot-to-rack supply contract from the ground up, meaning index plus tariff, line loss, terminaling, freight, blending, and additive fees, in order to quote a defensible adder and know their own replacement cost each day. However, every component lives somewhere else: FERC tariffs buried in carrier PDFs, terminal fees set by handshake, rail surcharges tracking the EIA diesel index, marine barge rates. So the adder gets built once in a spreadsheet, padded for whatever nobody could look up, and never rebuilt.

Mills logistics costs and codes give the wholesaler an assessed transport cost by lane, mode, and product, published on a code the same way a price is, which results in a spot-to-rack formula built from real, current cost data.
